French Toast Recipe Santa Fe Style for Diabetes and Kidney Diets
This french toast recipe is a good tasty choice for both diabetes and kidney diets
Ingredients 4 slices white bread, 3/4" thick 4 eggs or 1 cup egg substitute 1-1/4 cup nondairy creamer 2 tbsps canola oil Preheat oven to 400. Trim crust and cut bread in half diagonally Beat egg slightly and add to nondairy creamer Pour oil into a skillet and heat Dip bread into egg mixture. Fry in oil until brown on both sides. Place browned toast pieces on a hot baking sheet. Cook for 4 minutes in the oven to puff the toast. Remove from oven and drain on paper towel if needed. Serve immediately with powdered sugar, syrup, or jelly.
